What types of things do volunteers help with?
Throughout the year, Rising Tide participates in many types of events including what is listed on our programs page, community events (for example, in 2024 we were present at the Jamaica Bay Festival educating individuals about water safety) and our own fundraising events.
One great new opportunity to be involved is during our Poolside Fundraiser coming up in June 2025! We will need a lot of volunteers to help us ensure our event goes well including checking tickets at the door, helping our guests locate our services, and collecting tickets for our 50/50 draw. Details on this event are coming soon!
What skills / roles are you looking for?
In addition to volunteering at our events, there are countless opportunities to get involved in our important mission.
Some of the skills / roles we are always on the lookout for include:
